What's New !

Old World Santa in Earth TonesAlthough I had been carving the occasional Woodspirit for years, it wasn't until the winter of 2002 that I began carving more regularly. I tried a few Old World Santas and suddenly I was hooked. Then something strange happened. People wanted to buy carvings from me. By September, I had booked my first small show.

By the winter, I had a studio in the house and by spring, we had renovated and were open to the public.

In the spring of 2005, we embarked on our new adventure: Woodpile Carvings and Café. Here, when I'm not busy in the kitchen, I continue to carve each character,  such as this Old World Santa, individually. Every piece that I create is a hand-crafted original, each with its own special warmth and spark.

In addition to the great coffee, lunch, and carvings at the café, we display works of selected local artists and crafters. I also offer carving workshops and other occasional demonstrations in the workshop/demo space at the café.

As my products are all one of a kind, original works,  this website shows only a sampling of what I do.  If you'd like up-to-the-minute info, simply send me an email ... I can take a photo of what I am working on now, or of what's displayed in the Café today, complete with pricing info, and send it to you.
